Dreaming...

This morning, I had the opportunity to photograph one of my very best friends, her husband, and her growing baby bump! I am so excited to meet Baby C in August and really enjoyed my maternity session with them. :) This wonderful couple has been dreaming of Baby C for a long time, and now he's here, safe and cozy in his mommy's belly. There is lots of love waiting for him on the outside and I am anxious for the moment I will watch my friends welcome their baby boy into the world.

Almost 6!

I have been looking forward to my session with this little guy...He's actually not so little anymore and is days away from celebrating his sixth birthday! He is also my nephew, so I knew we'd have lots of fun checking out the stream at the gardens where we met, balancing on rocks, and trying to capture those mid-jump shots! He was such a good sport during our session, even though it was a humid, sticky morning. C even had his own ideas and thoughts on poses! He is a creative little boy and kept me smiling.

Sweet Cheeks...

I met a friend of mine this morning for a photo session with her family. The last time I saw her, she had just found out she and her husband were expecting. Today, I had the chance to meet her 6 month old baby boy, and what a sweet little thing he is! I had so much fun with Baby R and his parents! :)

Little Explorer...

I spent some time yesterday evening with an awesome couple and their 15 month old little boy! I had so much fun watching him explore, and loved seeing the wonder in his eyes as he came across leaves, flowers, sticks, and rocks on the grounds of Reynolda House. He was hilarious and has so much personality. Little C was also a friendly little guy and gave me lots of gorgeous smiles. His mom and dad were great and came out to meet me despite the drizzle of the afternoon. A few bugs and a little mud joined our picture party, but these guys were great and kept smiling though it all! Thanks to C and his parents for making our session so enjoyable!

I wanted to share a few pictures that I took about 9 months ago for my sister! Her baby boy was around 4 weeks old in these photos. This shoot was so much fun, not only because I adore newborns, but because he is my sweet nephew! :)
