I had the pleasure of photographing a very dear friend of mine, her husband, and their 9 month old baby this past Sunday morning. I think to say it was simply hot would be an understatement. It was sweltering! We were surprised to find that temperatures had easily reached 90 degrees by our session time and that so many mosquitoes were waiting and ready for our bare arms and legs! The C family didn’t complain at all, and I was quite impressed with the way "Little D" handled the heat. My girlfriend is such an adoring mother and I was pleased to find that I can see just how much she loves her family in these photographs. Our session was a lot of fun, despite the unpleasant aspects, and I loved having the opportunity to laugh, chat, and take pictures with this wonderful family!

Shane and Shelly: Wedding Day
This past weekend, I photographed my first wedding! There were lots of nerves to deal with as I stepped into the church Saturday morning, but they were soon an afterthought as I was greeted with warm welcomes from a family I've known for years and the sight of my best friend, who was also a bridesmaid. My brother-in-law, also an aspiring photographer, drove 4+ hours to help me with the task at hand.
The very best thing about being present at the wedding of Shelly and Shane was taking part in the emotion of the day. I had to fight back tears on more than one occasion as I watched the tender, sweet interactions between the father-of-the-bride and his daughter, the bride and her children, and of course, the bride and groom on their special day...It was beautiful. I hope that I was able to capture some of that emotion for this wonderful family!
Congratulations, Shane and Shelly! I wish you all the best as you begin this new journey as husband and wife!
